I am a Certified Newborn Specialist and Birth & Postpartum Doula.
I take care of infants at night so that parents can get the rest they need from 0-6 months or during the day and educate parents on all things related to newborn care. During this time I sleep condition the baby and usually by the time my service ends the baby should be sleeping 11-12 hours a night. As a postpartum doula I serve the mother after the birth. Many times mothers say they have no immediate family to take care of them after the birth of a baby, or they have parents who are ill or older, so as a postpartum doula my job would be to come to the home after you bring the baby home and I will assist with doing the family laundry, washing bottles and pump parts, preparing meals, running errands, driving older children that they have to and from school and also watching out for signs of postpartum depression or anxiety. If the mother is having a scheduled C- section I would stay with the mom at night in the hospital room and assist with the baby because we are finding the staff in the hospital is short. I have a dream team of well trained specialists now and we would love to help families in this area. I am a birth doula who only take 3 clients per year. If you find that you are pregnant contact me as soon as you know to get on my birth books. If you or anyone you know could benefit from the services I offer, contact me trough the form below.
